Bhagavad Gita life lessons

Learnings from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita

Bhagavad Gita tells us the perfect and meaningful way to live life. It shows you the truth of life, teaches you the good and bad karmas, and makes you mentally strong.

It is not that only old people should read it, but people of all ages should read Gita so that they know the right way to live life and they can give the right direction to their life according to Bhagavad Gita knowledge.

I would suggest everybody must distribute the knowledge of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita to their children at an early age so that they move ahead with more confidence and they stand stronger in their life.

Let's understand a few but very important learning points from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita one by one. These are life lessons for all.

Also, read and understand the Gayatri mantra meaning, significance, and benefits.

🌸Chapter 6 Shlok verse -5

Meaning

We can help ourselves. We should train our minds in such a way that with its help we can come out of the quagmire of ignorance. And lift yourself even higher. The mind is the friend of man and also the enemy. Conquer these wandering senses and make the mind your friend. If this mind continues to be influenced by different types of means, then it will become the cause of our downfall and if it is not influenced by all these and remains focused on our goal, then it can save us.

This tells us to be focused.

🌸Chapter 6 Shlok verse -6

Meaning

As mentioned above in 6.5 that the mind is our friend as well as the enemy, it is understood here. One who has conquered the mind, that is, controlled the mind, for him the mind is a friend because, with a controlled and directed mind, we can achieve our goal. If our mind is uncontrolled and unguided, then it will keep us bound with worldly attachment and may become the cause of our downfall.

This tells us if we are focused we will surely succeed.

🌸Chapter 4 Shlok verse -17

Meaning

One needs to understand the nature of Karma. This is very difficult but it is important to understand Karma (beneficial karma), Vikarma (baneful karma), and Akarma (no karma).

Here you understand Karma so that you are capable to choose and act as beneficial Karma.

Karma (beneficial karma) is the only way to progress in life.

🌸Chapter 8 Shlok verse -7

Meaning

Here Krishna says that while performing your own duties in the world keep me in your thoughts or think of me. By surrendering your works to him and fixing your mind and intellect in him, you will surely attain him.

Surrender yourself completely to God while performing your duties in the physical world and you are with him.

🌸Chapter 3 Shlok verse -35

Meaning

It is better to perform one's duties (Dharma) in a faulty manner than to perform the actions of others well. This means it is better to die doing one's own deeds (Dharma) than to engage in someone else's path or Dharma.

In this verse, it has been said that, follow your Dharma/your duties and do your Karma. If you leave your Karma-Dharma after seeing someone else, you will not get anything. For example, if sages get a boon from God by doing penance, then this is their Dharma, their Karma. A farmer practices his dharma by plowing the field, while a doctor performs his dharma by treating patients. Similarly, the Dharma or duties of a student is to go to school and study. If he does penance like a sage, how will he study and if not, how will he follow his Dharma?

Don't think about what someone else did and didn't do, you just focus on your Karma and Dharma. Pay attention to what you have to do and what are your responsibilities and how will you fulfill them? Even if it is not up to our expectations, we cannot give up our responsibilities, we cannot run away from our Karma. It means that you keep doing your work and if you have done good deeds, then you will definitely get good results from it.

Here you understand the importance of your own duties and their priorities.

🌸Chapter 2 Shlok verse -47

Meaning

Do your Karma/work without being attached to the result (or fruit). You should never consider yourself to be the cause of the fruits of your actions, nor should you ever be attached to non-actions.

So here you are advised to simply act as per your duties or responsibilities without expecting anything in return because you are not entitled to the fruits of karma. It means that you keep doing your work and if you have done good deeds in your own time, then you will definitely get good results from it. Whatever has been done with a sincere heart, God will definitely fulfill it.

So do your work without expecting anything in return, God will surely deliver the fruits as per your actions.

🌸Chapter 2 Shlok verse -48

Meaning

In above verse 2.47, we have seen that we should do our Karma/work without being attached to the result (or fruit), then how should we act? Here is the answer in verse 2.48.

Here Krishna advises Arjuna to come out of attachment and perform his duty with 'Yog'. Yog means concentrating the god (the supreme power) with senses in control. By following Yog, become one with the supreme almighty and perform your duties.

When you act with 'Yog' then success and failure, they do not bother you because your senses are in control.

🌸Chapter 16 Shlok verse -1,2,3,4,5

Meaning

Here in verses 16.1, 16.2, 16.3, divine qualities are described that make a man godlike naturally. They are -

fearlessness, purity of heart, steadfastness in knowledge and devotion, benevolence, control of senses, worship, the study of scriptures, austerity, uprightness, non-violence, truthfulness, freedom from anger, renunciation, tranquillity, aversion to slander, compassion to living beings, freedom from sensuality, gentleness, modesty, steadfastness, vigor, patience, fortitude, harmlessness, freedom from vanity.

In verse16.4, it is said that Pride, arrogance, ego, anger, harshness, and ignorance, these are all demonic qualities.

Verse16.5 says divine qualities lead you to liberation and demonic qualities lead you to bondage.

Here you find out the divine and demonic qualities so inspect yourself and look at the way you are in.

Divine qualities take you to progress while demon qualities take you to downfall.

🌸Chapter 5 Shlok verse -21

Meaning

The one who is free from the external world's experiences that arise from our five senses is one who is actually happy from within. Happiness is our true nature that lies within and does not depend on the external world.

Happiness is our true nature means we are effortlessly happy. Do not be dependent on external things for your happiness.

🌸Chapter 5 Shlok verse -22

Meaning

Happiness born from our sense organs is the source of suffering and the wise man never takes interest in such happiness. As we learned in verse 5.21 that happiness is our true nature so we are naturally happy. The happiness we get from the external world is momentary and it will vanish after some time so the wise people who know the secret of happiness are not dependent on these things.

Find happiness within not in the external world.

🌸Chapter 9 Shlok verse -22

Meaning

Lord Krishna says, if someone contemplates him with all his heart, then he takes the worries of his life and household on himself.

Keep Lord Krishna in your thoughts, in your heart and all your worries will be taken care of by him.

These are the few life lessons learned from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and many more leanings will be added in the future with all the details. Jai Shree Krishna.

Nowadays approximately all the car companies offer cars on lease.

Car leasing companies are giving people a chance to become car owners even without buying.

Many car companies have started this car subscription program which means car leasing.

Under this program, neither maintenance cost nor insurance cost will be paid from the customer. Also, there is no need to pay down payment either.

Customers only have to pay the car subscription amount set for the particular vehicle and return the vehicle after the subscription duration expires.

The year 2020 is known for the pandemic caused by Coronavirus and several changes seen in our lifestyles due to this virus.

customers are shifting from public transport to personal vehicle and they are in search of a pocket-friendly solution that will not be a burden financially. So here the car subscription helps that enables customers to own a car for certain duration.

Suggest going through each and every aspect of the car subscription program which might affect you financially and do not forget to discuss the below-mentioned points with the dealer or the car rental companies.

What should you know before leasing a car?

Before signing the contract for leasing a car you must check out the below things with the dealer:

  • What is included in the car or vehicle subscription such as annual usage of the permitted kilometer, road rax, car usage cost, insurance coverage, registration cost, and maintenance cost?

  • Be aware of the maintenance details being offered in the subscription.

Valentine and Anti-Valentine week days 2022

Valentine week 2022

February is noticed as the month of love due to the occurrence of Valentine's day (the Festival of Love) this month. Valentine week days are celebrated with great enthusiasm not only by couples but also the individuals. This is more popular among the young generation but the older generations also love to celebrate the festival of love. Here is the list of days of Valentine week with the dates.

valentine week days 2022

Days of Valentine week 2022

7th February, Monday - Rose Day
8th February, Tuesday - Propose Day

Rose Day

Valentine's week starts with Rose day. This day different colored roses are given to the loved ones which represent the various meanings depending on the color of roses such as red color rose means love and yellow means friendship.

Propose Day

After Rose day, here comes Propose Day when the lovers propose to their partner for a relationship.
It is assumed that your partner whom you proposed agreed to your proposal and said yes to you.

Chocolate Day

Now after the proposal day, you will gift chocolate to your lover to celebrate the occasion. This is not strictly limited to your lover only but also you may give chocolates to your family and friends too.

Teddy Day

After celebrating with chocolates, now it’s time to gift your lover or loved ones. Teddy day is the day to present your lovers a Teddy which is loaded with cuteness.

Kiss Day

The seventh day is kiss day when you move one step ahead in your relationship and kiss your loved one.

Valentine Day

If you notice the above 7 days one by one, then you will understand that love bloomed and developed during these days and this is the time to celebrate Valentine's Day with your partner. Take out a few hours from the whole day and spend it with your loved one rejoicing the lovely moment with each other.

Anti-Valentine week

Right after Valentine’s Day, Anti-Valentine week starts. As the name suggests this is just opposite to Valentine's day and hence the celebration. This week is considered as anti-love.

anti-valentine week 2022

I assume that after being in a relationship for a period several differences occur which affects the relationship also and hence the anti-valentine week celebration. It starts with the Slap day, Kick day and ends with Missing day and Break-up day. This is purely my assumption behind Anti-Valentine week.

This is just for the fun which you can celebrate with your friends and should not be taken seriously.

TRAI new guidelines for DTH and cable network operators in 2019

TRAI, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, has implemented its new rules for DTH and cable network since 1st February ’19. Read on further for the more details about it.

trai app new guidelines for dth

Why new TRAI guidelines are implemented and what is the use of it?

  1. According to BARC, television watching behavior of consumers has been observed which shows that 90% of the consumers do not watch all the channels added in the pack which they paid for. Then why should they pay for the channels which they do not see?
  2. Before consumers were provided with options of a few packs of different channels and they had to select the pack as per their interest. There was a BASE pack to be included and after that, if you want to add additional channels which are not included in that BASE pack then you needed to pay extra for the TOP UP packs which contained your desired channel.
  3. Those packs also included several channels which consumers do not see or browse them once. So earlier we paid for all the channels in the BASE pack but saw few ones only.
  4. Now the scene is different, TRAI has applied new rules for DTH and Cable network operators and provided consumers the right to watch television. Consumers will pay only for the channels they see.

What are new TRAI guidelines for DTH and cable network operators in 2019?

  1. TRAI prepared a new framework for DTH and cable network. According to TRAI, there are 330 Pay channels and 535 FTA channels in our country.
  2. Free-to-Air channels – These are free channels or the channels which are available at zero cost.
  3. Pay channels – These are the paid channels available at different prices.
  4. Every DTH or cable operator has to prepare a BASE pack of 100 Free-to-Air channels (FTA channels) at price Rs. 130 or less (18% GST extra applicable). If you want to add additional Pay channels then you may add them as per your interest at their prices.
  5. Now consumers can prepare their own pack by selecting the channels from 330 Pay channels and 535 FTA channels. Now the consumer can add or delete any channel anytime.

Where to check every channel’s tariff according to TRAI??
www.channeltariff.trai.gov.in – At this website, you may check the MRP of every channel. DTH or cable operators can offer a discount on these prices but cannot ask for higher than the prices mentioned in this website since these are maximum retail prices of the channels.

How to activate new plans and select the channels in DTH or cable network according to TRAI new guidelines?
There are different options through which you may activate your new plans and tailor your own packs for DTH or cable network.

  1. Telephonic method: Call your DTH or cable network’s customer care support system from the registered phone number. Discuss the new plans with them, mention your requirement of the channels and they will do it for you.
  2. Online method: Visit the official website of the DTH or cable network, log in there with your registered mobile number or Customer ID/Service ID. There you will see the update option which will guide you ahead to make your own pack and selection of channels.
  3. Channel selection on Television itself: There is a dedicated channel on every DTH or cable network which provides all the information related to DTH recharge, different plans and activation procedure. For example, channel number 999 on Airtel DTH. Follow the steps and you are done.

What will happen after 1st February ‘19 if already paid to the DTH or cable network as per the previous plan?
If already paid to the DTH or Cable network then that amount will be adjusted when you switch to the new system.

Have you switched to the new system of channel selection after 1st Feb'19? What is your experience, amount increased or decreased?

Diplomatic action of Modi government after Pulwama terror attack

It was the day of 14 February 2019. A convoy of 78 vehicles was carrying 2,500+ Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel from Jammu to Srinagar. The convoy left Jammu around 3:30 IST and expecting arrival in destination Srinagar before sunset. Most of the CRPF personnel were about to join their duty after their vacation totally unaware of the unexpected terror attack. At around 15:15 IST, when the convoy reached near Avantipora, a town in Pulwama district on National Highway 44, a bus loaded with CRPF personnel bumped by a car which was driven by a suicide bomber carrying around 200 kilograms of explosives. This caused a major blast in which 42+ CRPF personnel were killed on the spot and several others injured. Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based terrorist and jihadist group founded by terrorist Masood Azhar, claimed accountability for this attack. This was the disastrous attack on Indian security personnel.
